Dazomet for soil fumigant1.We're professional manufacturer and Exported Turkey Italy UK and Australia2.Reasonable price and high quality3. Dazomet provides an excellent alternative means of soil fumigant in view of the phasing out of methyl bromide.

Principles of Soil Fumigation

1.Soil preparation

Rotate the soil to 30 cm-35cm depth. It will help the fumigants to move uniformly in the soil.

2. Dosage

In general, dosage 30-45grams/ Square meters with proposals for a serious condition to increase the application rate sheet (50-60g/Square)

3.Soil moisture

Soil moisture should be kept at 60%-70% field capacity when you fumigate. Not too dry or too wet

4.Soil temperature

Optimal temperatures ensure that the target pests are ‘actively’, making them a better target for fumigants. Ideally soil temperature should be between 12-20°Cat the soil depth of 15 cm.

5.Soil sealing

The thick of plastic film recommended is 0.04 mm original film. Recycled film is not recommended. when covering plastic film , all of the fields should be covered.

6.Impact of weather

Do not fumigate under extreme weather conditions.

Do NOT use when soil temperature exceeds 32’C, do NOT apply to dry soil.

Avoid fumigation after a major rainfall event or in low temperatures is not allowed (e.g. <10°C) because this can slow down the fumigant movement in the soil. this could result in crop losses from fumigant phytotoxicity in extreme cases unless plant-back times are lengthened significantly. high air temperature (e.g. >30°C) can accelerate fumigant escape . this means that pests can not be not adequately exposed to fumigants, resulting in poor control.

7.Planting time after fumigation

Planting times can vary greatly depending on the particular fumigant and soil conditions (moisture and temperature)

gas activity + aeration time + germination test = total waiting period
